Dig In! at National Farmers Union Youth Gathering 2008
The National Farmers Union Youth started the Dig In! project with CBAN and Check Your Head.
At the NFU Youth Gathering in June at the Town Hall in Laird, Saskatchewan we shared information and ideas about Food Sovereignty and tried out some fun popular education activities. After a whole lot of work, we filled "The Sticky Wall" with the concerns and ideas of young farmers. Together we took the first steps to developing a great workshop on Food Sovereignty.
Thanks everyone and thanks to Colleen Ross and Annette Desmarais for sharing their knowledge of the international peasant movement La Via Campesina and the origins of the concept of Food Sovereignty.
