Matching Donor Appeal!

We can stop dangerous genetically engineered foods and crops in Canada. But, we need your help. Generous support from our community has made the work of CBAN possible. Now, we’ve got great news to share with you:

Donations to CBAN will be matched, up to $10,000, until the end of November!

Yes!!! One of our humble and generous CBAN supporters is offering to match your gift, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, until November 30th! Here is why the matching donor chose CBAN for their gift and why they think you should give, too:

“Picking a fight against genetically engineered foods and the biotech industry is like fighting a tsunami. It’s overwhelming. Yet CBAN, this small but dedicated group of everyday farmers, scientists, and activists, has never shied away from any fight. CBAN is now a well-recognized and respected foe of GMO in Canada and abroad. Join me to support the road ahead to get good healthy food for Canadians.”

With your help, CBAN will raise $20,000 this fall! These funds will help us stop the GM apple and GM alfalfa. Please, join this fight. Support the production of good, fresh food and protect family farming with a gift to CBAN.

Your support and action are the biggest thanks to our wonderful matching donor!

Please make a gift today, or before November 30th, and know that your tax-deductible donation will have twice the impact!

What does CBAN do? Here’s what some of CBAN’s Member group representatives have to say about the work of CBAN:

"Farmers like me are confronted by Monsanto and corporate GM crops everyday. Most farmers want to grow and provide the safest, healthiest, and most ecologically produced food possible. Monsanto is making our responsibility to do that increasingly difficult. CBAN was formed to help farmers win this fight, we cannot do it alone.” - Colleen Ross, Vice President, National Farmers Union (CBAN Member group).

“Here in Yukon, we remain a GE crop free zone thanks in large part to CBAN for providing succinct, accurate information on GE. No other independent organization offers the support and expertise that CBAN does. For me, CBAN is THE resource to go to. CBAN is connected locally, nationally and internationally and has a vision for how this will work a generation from now. As remote as we are, CBAN is here for us.” - Tom Rudge, organic farmer, GE Free Yukon (CBAN Member group)

““We work with farm communities and networks of small-scale farmers in Asia, Africa, and here in Canada who value CBAN. Inter Pares supports CBAN for the quality of its analysis on genetic engineering, for its relentless watch and scrutiny of the biotech industry, and for its efforts to educate the broader public on the importance of food sovereignty.” - Eric Chaurette, Program Manager, Inter Pares (CBAN Member group)

*Groups and small businesses can also become CBAN "Supporters" with a pledge to donate. Click here to find out how your group or business can join our community by becoming a CBAN "Supporter".
